Members are encouraged to give feedback to others. Feedback includes expressing your own feelings about what someone says or does. Interaction between group members is highly encouraged and provides each person with an opportunity to try out new ways of behaving. It also provides members with an opportunity for learning more about the way they interact with others.
Group therapy provides a safe environment in which members work to establish a level of trust allowing them to talk honestly and personally.
Team Mental Health Services offers a variety of groups to choose from at different locations and times.
Life Skills Group Focuses on teaching communication skills, socialization skills and goal setting skills.

Women's Empowerment Group
A women’s group designed to discuss concerns unique to women. Socialize and identify with others who may have experienced the same issues.
Tuesdays 2:00 p.m.
Group therapy is a powerful venue for growth and change. Not only do consumers receive tremendous understanding, encouragement and support from others facing similar issues, but they also gain different perspectives, ideas and viewpoints on those issues.

Learn about illicit drugs and drug interactions, and how drugs affect health, emotional and behavioral functioning. Also discussed are substance abuse treatment options, AA/NA support groups and sponsorship, relapse prevention, and developing a relapse prevention plan.

Co-Occurring Group
Although using drugs and alcohol may seem to help you cope with mental health issues, these substances actually make the symptoms worse.Learn how to recover from co-occurring disorders in a safe and nurturing environment.

Transitions
A group for those coping with loss that uses the five stages of grief for recovery. Learn how to cope with loss, learn how to heal and bond with other people who have also had loss in their life.

Relaxation Group
Peer ran group using numerous methods to teach effective relaxation techniques to help individuals cope with symptoms of mental illness, triggers for relapse and uncomfortable feelings.

Self-Esteem
Learn how to have a positive self-image and learn ways to turn your negative thoughts about yourself into positive thoughts. Build esteem by socializing with others and learn to identify negative thought processes.

Parenting Group
This group is open to parents, expectant parents, grandparents, stepparents and any other person who is the caretaker of children. Discover positive parenting techniques and ways to reduce feelings of being overwhelmed. Identify effective parenting skills and how to adjust to behaviors your children may be experiencing. Socialize with other parents and learn how to manage your symptoms to become an effective parent.

Family Education
This group is open to family members of people who are diagnosed with a mental illness and the consumers themselves. You can attend this group with family members, friends or any type of natural support; however, you do not need a natural support to attend the group. Become educated about the family dynamic of learning how to help family members understand your diagnosis.

Scenario Role Play
Come see how this unique group therapy workshop can enhance your relationships with your spouse/significant other, children, family and friends. Originally created and promoted by Dr. David Abott, PhD, LPC, it has been used by therapists and counselors since 1964 to improve social skills and communication skills, which enable and empower individuals to achieve success and social interaction. Both participants and observers will benefit by attending this group workshop.

Substance Abuse Group
Learn about illicit substance abuse use and the negative impact it will have on your mind, body and support network. This group follows the AA method. Develop a relapse prevention plan, discuss ways to identify triggers, and distinguish between positive and negative supports in your life. This group promotes learning how to live a sober lifestyle.
